Wednesday Lovin'

Happy Wednesday lovelies! Today, I'm linking up with Jamie at this kind of love for What I'm Loving Wednesday today!

I'm loving that this is the last day of my work week this week! That is pretty fabulous. Corey and I are headed out of town for his cousin's wedding in Key West this weekend so I only worked yesterday and today. Which makes me extra happy because our school doesn't have air conditioning and this was the thermometer in our room yesterday:
Yes, that says 92 degrees.

I'm loving my new Jacks. I almost switched to Bonannos this year to do an experiment on quality but when I tried to order them, Stephen Bonanno was charging $12 for shipping. For a shoe that weighs about 1 pound!! So for the time being, I'm giving Jacks one more try. But if I have to get stitches this year because of my shoe, then our relationship is over.

I'm loving Pina Coladas at the beach. Yep, that would be an extra test tube of rum. Don't judge. We all deserve a little something extra for a holiday when we're off work. ;)

I'm loving all the fun activities this guy will be participating in while we're out of town. I usually feel super guilty for leaving Riley when we travel. This weekend one of the doggy moms from Cavalier play group/Cavalier owner cocktail hour is watching him. Riley will be going to a birthday party for one of the dogs in our play group. Yes, I did just say that.  A dog's birthday party. He'll also be going to playgroup at doggy day care. He might even have more fun than we will!

I'm loving the amazing new design Jenn at Munchkin Land Designs did for my blog. Hopefully you've noticed over the last few days. If you want to update your button, there's a super cute one in the sidebar you can grab. The old one still works so its your preference. If you're ever in need of a blog design, Jenn is amazing.

I'm loving that we have just four weeks left of school. I've been really behind on updating my teaching blog but I've been trying to catch up a little now that the year is coming to a close. If you have some time, go ahead and hop over to see what's been going on in my work life. I promise there's never a dull moment in our class. ;)

I'm loving the Lilly Pulitzer Beau dress. Oh, I want it desperately. Isn't it to.die.for?

I'm loving that the Victoria's Secret Semi Annual Sale has started for Angels. Doesn't it feel great to score a sixty dollar bra for $19.95?!

And as always, I'm loving my boys!

Happy Wednesday girls!

Bridal Talk Tuesday - A new source for inspiration

Life with Elizabeth
Hello lovelies! I hope you all had a fabulous Memorial Day weekend. We'll be discussing mine later on this week. Today, I'd like to share a new source for wedding inspiration with you. And...its even better than Pinterest!

Yep, I said it. Better than Pinterest. And if you're a Bride-to-Be or just love perusing pics of weddings then you'll be thanking me. Introducing, is similar to Pinterest in that it contains tons of pictures to give you inspiration but the photos on are all wedding photos. And best of all they are organized.

You can search by categories...

Then, each of these categories can be searched by subcategories. If I click on Decor, then the options All Decor, Furniture, Place Settings, Linens, Candles, and Lighting come up. I think this is so helpful because sometimes I'm eager for new inspiration and can't find anything I inspiring on Pinterest.

You can also search by color and keywords.
And pin to bundles much like you would to boards on Pinterest. Here are some of my favorite finds.

What do you think? Will you be joining?

And the weekend starts...

I am a happy girl! I made it through the week and my class kicked off the long weekend with an ice cream sundae party. Now, I'm off to the gym to undo the damage from the sundae then will be relaxing with a glass of wine and my boys.

So that I can be well rested for my four day weekend. Tomorrow, I'm going to run some errands, take Riley to the groomer, maybe squeeze in a mani/pedi. The rest of my weekend will be full of things like this:
My favorite...tastes like water with a splash of cranberry. Ha! ;)

Luckily the weather forecast has changed. We're supposed to have nice weather Saturday so to the Jersey Shore we go. (Not the crazy part from the show. Surely you know better!)

Grilling out in our building's courtyard with our friends. Yum!

While we're on the topic of the weekend, I was contacted about a Memorial Day sale at JoJo, a jewelry boutique in Boston. JoJo features fun swarovski crystal earrings that can add a little "bling" to your day.  The sale starts tomorrow and will last until Monday. Here are some of my favorites:

Peach Party Bling

Turquoise Bling

Flamingo Pink Bling

All images via.

You can always use another pair of studs and these come in every color imaginable. You'll never have to worry about matching your earrings to an unusually colored necklace again! They even have pearls in case you need an extra pair to wear to the beach - they're very reasonably priced.

What I'm Loving (and what I'm not)

Happy Wednesday girls! I'm linking up with Jamie at this kind of love for What I'm Loving Wednesday. Today, I'm loving...

Lace tops

Days off

I have five days off work this month. I had Friday off a couple weeks ago and have Friday off again this week as part of our Memorial Day holiday. Then, I have actual Memorial Day Monday off and Thursday and Friday next week when Corey and I head to Florida for a family wedding. This is the only thing that's keeping me going this month.

I am obsessed with the new Vbarre classes at my gym. Vbarre is a combination of ballet and pilates and I can feel it working every muscle in my body. The goal is to tone and shape your body which is exactly what I need know that I am just 3 pounds from my wedding goal weight. I wish I could go more than once a week. Its by far my favorite exercise class ever. I'm going to be trying some other barre classes this summer.

Grooming sessions

Some of you have been asking what this sweet pup has been up to lately. Well...he is hot! Now that the weather is warming up Riley is getting lazy when we take him outside for walks. He's definitely a spring/fall dog. He's off to the groomer on Friday for a summer haircut. He wasn't as fluffy last summer so he's never gotten one before. I'll be sure to post some pics.

I'm loving the Mexican food at our favorite Mexican restaurant in Hoboken, Charitos. Corey and I stopped in at the end of last week. It is SO good!

One thing I am absolutely NOT loving is this:
Yuck! And on my four day weekend!

Bridal Talk Tuesday - Invitation Proofs!

Life with Elizabeth
Happy Bridal Talk Tuesday lovelies! Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about you. I was battling a sinus infection all week last week then finally got some amazing antibiotics on Friday. I felt much better and did some shopping with Corey's mom on Sunday.

Not to mention the oh-so-important dress fitting at Kleinfeld on Saturday!!! I finally got to open the box. My dress is even prettier than the sample and I got to try on the veil I was having nightmares about getting lost in the mail. It luckily arrived safe and sound. I wish I could share pictures with you all but of course that would ruin the surprise! Y'all...I have to have FIVE inches taken in on my dress. Guess all that time in the gym is really paying off?? The fitting went really well and I go back in 3 weeks. I had a little anxiety over which kind of bustle I wanted and finally settled on the french after a conference call with my mom and an emergency text to our wedding planner.

Aside from the excitement of the dress arriving, we have been busy with invitations. They are in the process of being printed as I type this which is so exciting. We went with Blush Paperie and are doing thermography, which I think is a good compromise when you want something more textured than flat ink but don't want to splurge on letterpress. In case you were wondering, thermography is a method of printing where the ink is raised. Our invitation will be printed on ivory linen paper and will have a gold accent backing. Here's the proof (last names and personal information has been removed since this is the internet after all!)

We're doing a little insert to direct guests to our wedding website so that they can get information on our room blocks as well as the shuttle we are offering for out of town guests so that they can get to the ceremony and back to the hotel for the reception without having to worry about driving in an area they are unfamiliar with or renting a car. Our website was on our engagement party invitations and save the dates but it never hurts to have a refresher.

I'm loving the wording we chose for our RSVP cards. You may remember this was a Pinterest find months ago that I mentioned in another Bridal Talk Tuesday.

Pinterest inspiration...

Here are some pictures that better show the quality of the invites.

I will definitely take some pictures once the actual invites arrive so you can see how they turned out. I am in love with the samples. Love the paper, love the quality of the thermography. I am so glad we went with Blush Paperie.

The 3 Day Weekend that Wasn't

Happy Monday lovelies! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! Remember how excited I was about my three day weekend when I blogged on Friday? didn't go quite as planned.

On Friday, I had a doctor's appointment in Murray Hill. It went pretty well and I've been referred for some minor surgery after the wedding. Then, I took the train down to the West Village to pick up a dress I'd fallen in love with at a boutique in Hoboken that didn't have it in my size. I'm currently hunting for honeymoon clothes. I'm going to have to post some pics of my recent spring purchases.

Then, I went back to Hoboken and waited on my dress to arrive. Which it did!

Of course, I can't open the box until next Saturday at my fitting. Its some shipping insurance rule. Then, I noticed my throat felt really sore and I had the start of the headache. I ran some errands and made some relaxing comfort food for dinner.

I fell asleep on the couch pretty early on Friday then woke up sometime in the middle of the night when I remembered I hadn't taken Riley out. Oopsies. I had a headache so bad that I could hardly see straight and was nauseous and my throat was even more sore.

I slept sixteen hours on Saturday and didn't get any of the wedding things I needed to get done accomplished.

I felt a little better  yesterday, at least better enough to run to Ulta and pick this up:

Its foundation for your nails. I used it under my favorite, French Affair by Essie, and I am loving how smooth my nails look. This base coat plus a good quality polish plus ceche vite top coat creates a gel look. I am loving it! Its definitely expensive but in my opinion, everything is relative. (At least this is what I tell Corey.) It may be expensive but its so much less expensive than getting a professional manicure every week! ;)

I'm feeling much closer to normal this morning. I stayed up to kiss Desperate Housewives goodbye. I'm really going to miss that show even if it really was time for it to go. Isn't it the worst when you're sick on a weekend?? It feels like I haven't had a weekend at all and now its time to go back to work!

Corey got back safely from his bachelor weekend in Las Vegas late last night. He and the boys had a great time but he says he's glad to be home. Which is always good to hear! :)

Happy Monday, all!

Friday Confessional

TGIF girls! I hope everyone is having a great day and has a fun weekend planned. Linking up with Leslie for a fun confessional post today.

I confess...that I fell asleep around 9 o'clock last night on the couch. I didn't even make it for Grey's and Scandal. Fail. But I do feel very rested today!

I confess...that I have the day off for a doctor's appointment today. And I'm actually excited. Not so much about the doctor's appointment because those are no fun but I am excited to have the rest of the day to get some things done at home and relax...and most importantly wait for the Fed Ex delivery person to deliver my wedding dress!!!

I confess...that I will be stopping for a skinny vanilla latte on the way to the train. I have pretty much kicked my Starbucks addiction this year because there isn't one on my way to work. I've been drinking just regular coffee brewed with the Keurig with a dash of creamer. But I know I will enjoy every single sip of my latte today.

I confess...that I am in love with spring fashions this year. I need a bonus from work or to win the lottery so I can purchase all the things on my wish list. Just a couple examples:

I confess...that Corey is out of town this weekend for his bachelor party in Las Vegas. I have a girls' night planned but I'm mostly looking forward to turning our apartment in to a wedding planning and crafting workshop for two days.

Bridal Talk Tuesday - Pinspiration v.3

Life with Elizabeth

Happy Bridal Talk Tuesday girls! Can you believe we're just three short months away? Here are my recent Pinterest faves!

Definitely want to do this! What a special moment.

Love the pearls dripping off the cake. I wish I could find a picture of the whole cake.

I'm recently liking this style of DIY cardbox.

But also still liking the more vintage idea of a trunk or old suitcase.

Loving this pretty clip for a veil.

And isn't this bouquet to.die.for?
