This week I've been feeling a little....blah?  It could be that I'm tired or that my commute has been extra long and frustrating this week. But I like to think that its just because its constantly overcast outside and I'm lacking Vitamin D. I like to tell my husband this could be cured by a move to a warmer climate. ;)

Just in case you're feeling the same way, here are some pictures from Pinterest that are sure to put a smile on your face.

Have a happy Thursday, friends!

Lilly Loves

Happy Monday, lovelies! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! It was just a little warmer here this weekend. I put my puffer jacket away for the time being and pulled out my North Face. Maybe this means spring is on the way? Whether it is or not, a visit home to the Carolinas is coming next week and this means a trip to Lilly. Oh gosh, there is so much I'm loving right now.

Lowe Dress. I just love the peplum waist.

Iona Shell. This is probably my favorite piece right now because it is so versatile. I could definitely wear this to work - and to play.

Juliana Dress. The skirt is the lucky charm print I am loving this season.

Candice Dress. I am dying to add this to my closet. I would love to wear it on Easter.

Monday Randoms

Happy Monday, friends! What a crazy and busy week the last week has been - I've been totally neglecting my blog. I hope many of you are off today for President's Day and are just crawling out of bed to your morning lattes about now. Unfortunately, my district is making up one of the six days we missed because of Hurricane Sandy today. This is a little disappointing to me as I love a holiday when I can sleep until 8 and then watch Kelly and Michael in my pajamas.

How was Valentine's Day where you are? I have way too many chocolates in my desk drawer at work and one of my sweet kiddos brought me this cookie.
Our class theme is owls (which is a throwback to my Kappa days) and my favorite color is pink so this was pretty much the perfect Valentine's cookie for me. It is so precious how attentive my kiddos are.

Speaking of Valentine's Day, Corey and I celebrated on both Thursday and Friday. Doing anything big after work can be difficult, which makes me feel incredibly old. But when you wake up at 5:00 to sit in traffic on the New Jersey turnpike for an hour, it is necessary to be in bed before 11. So on Thursday, we ordered dinner in and watched a movie at home. Corey brought me these:
And we had chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. These have always been a favorite of mine but even more so since the weekend we got engaged, when chocolate covered strawberries and champagne were waiting on us at check-in.

On Friday, we went to a quick happy hour with some friends and then headed to The Dining Room at Anthony David's in Hoboken. This is a restaurant that has been on our list to try since about the time we moved a year and a half ago. It has a quaint romantic ambiance and was absolutely delicious. Corey and I shared a build your own antipasti plate for an appetizer. He had the lamb bolognese special and I had rock shrimp and pea risotto for our main courses and we had an out of this world ice box cake for dessert. I highly recommend checking out this restaurant if you're traveling to the area.

For the week of Valentine's Day, I wore Essie's Cascade Cool. I thought this was a perfect Valentine's color and I was happy to have a bright pink back on my nails. I'm over dark winter colors.

Then, on Saturday, I switched it up to Essie's Big Spender. I almost never do reds but I am loving this color - I guess because it reminds me of a glass of Pinot Noir. ;)

I have to brag on my sweet husband for the meal he made on Saturday. We'd had kind of a busy day with the gym in the morning followed by lots of errands so we made dinner at home and shared a bottle of wine. Corey cooked and he made mashed potatoes and pork chops with red cherry peppers. This was out of this world. I asked if he wanted to do a blog tutorial of the recipe, but unfortunately he passed - ha! Maybe next time. ;)

I hope your week is getting off to a great start. Have a great Monday, lovelies! xo

Hitched: Formals

Hi there, girls! Today, Corey and I have been married for six months. Its crazy how the time has flown. Sometimes it seems like just a few weeks ago and others it seems like forever that we were relaxing in Hawaii for our honeymoon. We haven't even ordered our wedding album yet because life has just been so busy. Since it is halfway to one year of marriage, I wanted to do a Hitched post and share some of the formal pre-reception photos.

This was the photo for our wedding announcement in the paper.

I am just so excited to spend many more months and years with this amazing man. Have a great day, lovelies!

What I Wore Wednesday

Happy Wednesday lovelies! I hope you are having a fabulous week! Corey has been out of town this week so it has been really quiet in my apartment this week. I had my formal observation at work yesterday so it was kind of nice to have the quiet to focus and get everything done. After all was said and done last night, I enjoyed some wine.

Here are a few OOTD's from last week.

What I wore to work:
Shirt: Ralph Laruen Skirt: J. Crew Flats: Tory Burch
Dress: Townhouse Boutique (Hoboken) Flats: Tory Burch

Dress: Lilly Pulitzer Boots: Nine West
*I've shared this outfit below but the lighting was terrible in that photo

What I wore to the gym:
Corey bought me this new Lululemon top recently and while I'm always impressed with their tops, this is my absolute favorite to date. Enough support, very flattering, and a perfect color. While I love Lululemon tops, almost all of my workout bottoms are from Target's C9 collection.

What I wore for fun:
Tunic: Modcloth Leggins: Victoria's Secret daily legging Boots: Steve Madden

Speaking of outfits, the tops I ordered from Old Navy came in and they are precious. I can't wait to wear them. I got a free gift with purchase, too. Guess what it was?
Yep - that is a baby stocking cap from Baby Gap's new collection. What in the world is Gap/Old Navy trying to tell me?!?!

Happy Wednesday, girls!

Closets to Covet

With only four more months left in our lease, I am craving for a walk-in closet again. I've told Corey its a must in our next home. I had the most gorgeous ten foot deep walk-in in my town home so downsizing to a metro Manhattan area sized closet was really difficult. I've managed to keep my teeny tiny closet pretty organized but am just dying for a nice, big walk-in in the future. Of course, I know I won't have a closet to rival these beauties but a girl can dream, can't she?
